...said nobody like me, ever.
I will NEVER imply that time stands still.
I am too smart for that.
(This is coming from someone who let her captain from a trivia game earlier this week convince her that spiders are lactating mammals)
But now is a good a time as any to talk about...time...
To talk about Evan PAST, who knew all the states in alphabetical order by age three--in addition to their largest cities and capitals.
EVAN PAST, a brilliant kid with a photographic memory who was still enough of a kid to enjoy his New York Yankees and his Sponge Bob Squarepants.
Then there's EVAN PRESENT, who can name every US senator(some folks couldn't name their representatives in their own state)who worked the polls with enthusiasm, who wrote a political essay that he shared on Facebook that had dozens congratulating us for raising a son with passion and commitment.
EVAN PRESENT, who will wake up in a half hour or so in this magical resort.
EVAN PRESENT, who was lucky enough to meet the wonderful Phebe, who made a extraordinary week even that much more special.
Then there's EVAN FUTURE.
My only advice to him??
Please don't leave all your dirty socks all over the foyer at the entrance to your house.
Because even 'though you'll be the resident who LIVES there, the White House is our house, too
