In the waning days of summer in 2009, a crazy lady with wiry red hair named June who looked exactly like a poodle, and who ran a poodle factory, sold us a poodle for an outrageous price that would make your tail curl.
We rejected the cream colored male and took the apricot, and the crazy lady sent us home with a puppy full of worms and an arthritic condition called luxation, and she filled out the paperwork, claiming she sold us a cream colored female.
Today that (sorta!) apricot colored MALE turns thirteen..it's his bark-mitzvah!
Muzzle-tov, Luke!!
He's come a long way from the crazy, confused mutt who sat silently next to Evan on that endless ride home.
The worms are gone, the luxation is not a terrible problem, he's still apricot, but more of a tan version of apricot, and he's still very much a male...a male who you'd never know was neutered.
Happy whelp day to our crazy, nutty, poodle.
Life would not be the same without him.
