We need the eggs

Guess who just had an unexpected visit from "Blondie?"

OK..That was EASY since I'M the one posting this, so let's make it a real challenge.

WHO or WHAT is "Blondie" and why was she visiting our house?

A) She thought she heard Debbie Harry ordering her to "Call Me"so she complied?
B) She KNEW we had all the ingredients for those triple decker sandwiches that her  Dagwood craves?
C) She knows I am and always have been kind of vanilla, and she wanted a dessert that WASN'T chocolate..she wanted a dessert that was named after HER?
D) She's a cougar friend from HS in a crisis? (Her name used to be BROWNIE?)
E) All of the above?
F) None of the above?

If you answered "F" you are one smart cookie.

 Make that one Spring..er..Indian Summer..Chicken.

You won the top prize.

Something on your bucket list??

Like a bucket of KFC, perhaps??

I'm about as subtle as a sledge hammer.

OK..let's reveal before the suspense does you in.

That's right, Blondie, the CHICKEN, once again  crossed the well drawn property line to pay us a little visit.

That shy young thing..thank goodness she came out of her shell.

We actually find this hilarious, but I'm sure Nicole didn't as she was backing out of her driveway, and saw the damn thing fly up to the fence and fall over  like her great great great grandfather, Humptey did all those years ago.

Nicole was madder than a wet hen!

(Not really she wasn't..she just didn't want to soak our carpeting coming through the house in this pouring rain.)

They put up a virtual fortress between the properties, but Blondie is daring and determined.  Nothing "chicken" about that one.

Nicole captured her without a struggle and allowed me to pet her, but Blondie reacted like Louis, the alligator, from our New Orleans swamp tour did  last March when I attempted likewise..

Pets don't like me petting them.

They react verbally...as in squawking and screaming and thrashing.

(Like the guys of my twenties did whenever I attempted to pet them)

I had to threaten Louis the alligator with  sneaking into the park after hours  and turning him into a LOUIS  Vuitton bag if he didn't stop that needless thrashing.

Blondie wasn't quite as vocal, but she was stressed.

(I was bra-less--otherwise, I would have allowed Jim to take video for proof)

Maybe that's why Blondie was protesting so loudly??

Her sisters, Ferkle, Isabella, and my favorite, RePECKa( aka "Pecky"--that's the one Nicole personally named) watched like well-behaved school children as their sister put on a show in front of the chain link fence.

Nicole looked a little sheepish and promised it won't happen again.

I'm kind of hoping it will.

I "need the eggs."

(That was for my husband, because his favorite movie is "Annie Hall."  Fans will get the reference.)

I have to create an acronym to remember all of their names.

How about, "Fence: Insufficient "Real" "Boundary??"

(Open to other suggestions for "FIRB"--Ferkle, Isabella, RePECKa, and that bitch, Blondie)

Peck away
