Au revoir, 2022!
You were good, you were bad, you were memorable, you were forgettable, you were stressful and you were stress-free and you were everything in between.
The last day of 2022 did not disappoint..it was a day of laughing with those hilarious "Derry Girls" and it was great company and nostalgic conversation: it was delicious Indian cuisine where the wait staff pampered us like royalty.
And it was the last movie we'd see in a theater in 2022.
"I Want to Dance With Somebody" was surprisingly good. Very insightful and highly entertaining--I think we both liked it more than "Elvis."
(We debated which artist had the bigger impact: the more tragic final chapter)
Like the year itself, the last day had it's flaws too, as it started off with an incredibly intense and thorough dental cleaning. My smile may be dazzling, but spicy Indian food wreaked a little havoc.
There's gotta be a little rain on every parade in order to appreciate that parade, right?
May 2023 offer all of us endless joy and laughter and success and camaraderie, even if it's mixed with a little spicy lamb curry hitting your overly sensitive, tender gums.
That is life..and the coming year will capture all of its nuances.
(Because sadly, I made no resolution to give up these annoying Facebook posts that make CVS receipts look short and concise)
Welcome, 2023!
Do right by us!
