Thanks for giving the photos

Okay, because I'm a KAREN. I will admit that I KNOW how obnoxious I sound every time I complain about everythi--..er..about Facebook pics.  

It's not that I mind the posts themselves, it's just that the responses are so.. robotic. 

 People post pics of running rivers and hiking trails and ocean shots  from balconies, and everyone, in perfect unison, replies, "looks gorgeous!"

Or they'll post pics of grandchildren or new hair styles, and the response is once again universal and unoriginal:  "Absolutely precious" or "great hair!"

It's like those old "Chatty Cathy" dolls we girls who grew up in the 60's had, when we'd pull a string attached to the backs of their necks(a cruel thought in itself) to hear Cathy  say then ten same things, usually a variation of "go bye-bye??"

I had a vivid imagination even back then, so I'd pull the string and ad-lib things like, "Can I have a new Mommy?  Karen is a bitch!" or "did you hear me??  She's SUCH a bitch!!" or.." can we go bye bye??..Please get me away from my bitchy Mommy, Karen!"

I know I'm meandering,  let me  me back to my point about posting pictures on Facebook, because.. take a wild  guess:  

What  kind of photograph  is  posted the most??

Food photos???

Because you would be correct.

 Everyone's  string on the back of their necks gets pulled and we all say, in perfect harmony, "looks yummy!" or "looks delicious!" or "go bye bye and have some of that roasted duck with potatoes au gratin?"

But today, and just for today, I'm stepping out of this Karen body of mine(hah!..if ONLY!!) to say:

"Keep those Thanksgiving food  photos coming!"

We were all  ROBBED in 2020, we NEED to savor the morning after, we need to see the brownness of your turkey, the crispness of your brussel sprouts,  your  butter pat  melting on the mashed potatoes, your glistening cranberries...

Post away! 

 Show every photo of every vessel of stuffing and every stuffed house guest, sated and happy and vaccinated, grateful for the long awaited reunion.

You can even use the caption "gobble gobble."  ...I promise I  won't get mad.

I am not the least bit bored or annoyed by the Photos of Pheasts--keep 'em coming! 

I'll  type the words "looks yummy!" all day long  if I have to

Just don't show me anymore random  pics of trees or your cat, because I'll see THEM  for the umpteenth time I'll be forced to say,...

"go bye bye??"
